WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader mod Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. A random extra substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for the latter due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

The upgrade items cost depends on the item slot and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item upgrading has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players finish certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrades upgrader at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via a variety of means, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item level will be less expensive, even in the event that they belong to a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complicated can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with a heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, once an item level upgrade reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance, it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all slots are full of high-quality gear.
