After a series of social media posts that hint at it, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini has finally revealed its first NFT (non-fungible token) project. The project is dubbed Space petron Key to lamborghini and developed in collaboration with an undisclosed artist the project is inspired by a piece advanced carbon fiber composite material that was delivered to the International Space Station for research purposes.

The heart of every Space Key is a block made of the most advanced carbon fire composite material that was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. Each of the five Space Keys will feature a distinct moment that happens seconds apart as the lamborghini smart key Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Each of five images was shot by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner used a balloon equipped with a camera, which took each of the individual shots that were then merged to create the final image. The result is a truly out of this world photo that captures the beauty of Earth as well as the futuristic, hyper-realistic view of the car key lamborghini rising away from it. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned off soon, but there is no exact date or location yet.
